ABSTRACT This paper discusses the importance of the city as a living document to be exploited by the teacher outside the classroom, and the role of Patrimonial Education sector in the educational process, as a means of reading and understanding of the universe of socio-cultural student and affirmation of historical awareness and their citizenship.
