The article, from the document “Approaches to the curricular fl exibility in highereducation in Colombia”, raises a fi rst approach to the curricular fl exibility in four sections: First, it talks about the general historical referents of higher education. Second, it presents the origin and development of higher education in Colombia. Third, it introduces some statements about the suitability of curricular fl exibility in higher education in Colombia and fourth, it presents some points of view on fl exibility, education, and human development.
