Abstract

Abstract Novel polyimides have been synthesized by reacting 3,3′,4,4′‐benzophenone tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride with three diamines having the general structure: magnified image Polyimide films obtained have been evaluated for their thermal and electrical properties. The dependence of the thermal stability of the polyimides on the structure of the diamine component has been established. The specific volume resistivity has been found to be of the order of 10 15 Ω cm for all the polyimides.
