Both the sacramentality and secularity of the diocesan priest refer him back in a direct way to his corporality which, by means of ordination, is defined with a new status. This present article seeks to reflect on the meaning of human corporality in the theology and spirituality of ordained ministry. To do this we look at five dimensions which are particularly meaningful for human corporality, with a triple approach to each one: a phenomenological eview, a christological re-reading of this and then a theological-spiritual reflection on ministry. These dimensions are: prior dependence on what we identify, temporality or permanent distance with our identity, relatedness, sacramentality or epipahnic character of the body and mortal finitude.
