The aim of this study is to question the meaning of trips. If they are really able to to enrich the traveler on both cultural and fun-having aspects. If it is predominant what is experienced abroad and later reported, and whether is highlighted what is learned and incorporated to one's life. Perhaps on the way back everything is lost in the day-by-day, or maybe trips trigger out processes that optimize experiences and knowledge, as far as we exercise those. Traveling truly contributes to human development. Reflections on the theme are presented in this study but precise answers to such questioning cannot be given due to the complexity of a topic that has not been deeply studied yet. Key-words: 1. personal development 2. tourism 3. traveling
