An Efficient Palm-Vein Pattern Extraction Algorithm

Abstract

As one of the personal biological characters, vein pattern is unique and stable for biometrics. By multi-scale morphology and adaptive image enhancement on the palm image from self-designed capture device, this paper proposes a novel vein patterns extraction algorithm for personal verification application, which yields promising performance for personal security verification.
