Abstract

IPCP provides a new approach to large target detection using high resolution UWB signals, and provides detection nearly equivalent to traditional correlator for high false alarm rates. It is a small step from optimal detection to adjusting the filter for special classes of targets. Selective target detection will be useful for many special radar applications, such as the detection of targets in a high clutter environment.
