In this study, thin film solar cells having Mo/CIS/Ag-InS/ZnO/AZO/Ag/AZO/Ni/Al structure were fabricated. Structural, optical and electrical properties of spray pyrolyzed copper indium sulfide (CIS) and silver doped indium sulfide (Ag-InS) films with various thicknesses were investigated. Moreover, photovoltaic device performances were analyzed as a function of the buffer layer thickness. With this study for the first time, we have introduced a new sandwich structured transparent conductive oxide (TCO) layer for inorganic solar cells. The maximum photo conversion efficiency, which was 1.16 %, obtained in our study was very promising among the thin film solar cells deposited via wet chemical methods.
