Electrocatalyst-induced kinetic modulation of anion-based redox mediators in aqueous iron–chromium redox flow batteries

Abstract

Dual catalytic and anticatalytic effects enable selective kinetic control in iron–chromium redox flow batteries. Bismuth nanoparticles accelerate [Cr(CN) 6 ] 3−/4− redox kinetics, suppress hydrogen evolution, and deliver high efficiency and stability.
