Abstract

ABSTRACTThe vital role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)as a driver of the national economy is frequently accompaniedby serious challenges, particularly those stemming from lowlevels of financial literacy. This issue is clearly observable at thepartner entity, Aneka Kerupuk Fajar Putra, where mostmanagers are homemakers (ibu-ibu rumah tangga). The majorityof business actors in this sector lack the ability to differentiatebetween personal assets and business capital and tend to neglectthe systematic recording of transactions. This study focuses onenhancing the competence and knowledge of these MSMEpartners in the aspect of business financial management. Themethodology implemented is a participatory approach through aseries of interactive training sessions, structured education, andintensive mentoring in basic bookkeeping practices. The successof the activity is measured by assessing the extent of theparticipants’ cognitive understanding improvement. The findingsindicate a substantial jump in financial literacy scores among allparticipants. They now possess a strong comprehension of theimportance of separating cash flow and are capable of applyinga simple financial reporting framework (such as basic incomestatements). It can be concluded that this training interventionproves to be a crucial instrument for improving the financialliteracy of MSME actors, which serves as an essential foundationfor long-term business sustainability.Keywords: Financial Literacy, Business Management, Training,Competency Enhancement, MSMEs
