Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) have become an essential component of modern language education due to their ability to personalize instruction using artificial intelligence technologies. These systems assess learners’ skills, adapt tasks to their proficiency level, and provide immediate feedback. This article examines the functions, benefits, and challenges of ITS in personalized language learning. Findings indicate that ITS enhance learner engagement, improve academic outcomes, and offer adaptive learning pathways. Despite their advantages, issues such as teacher preparedness, data privacy, and feedback accuracy remain significant. The study concludes that ITS can effectively support language learning when integrated thoughtfully into educational practice.
