This study examines the mathematical values of Filipino preservice mathematics teachers in relation to their sex, year level, and the type of senior high school they attended, using a quantitative design. Seventy preservice secondary mathematics teachers from a state university in the Philippines were surveyed. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-type scale developed by Durmus and Bicak (2006) and analyzed using descriptive statistics and nonparametric tests. Results showed that preservice mathematics teachers predominantly hold constructivist values. The mathematical values of preservice teachers do not differ significantly by sex or by the type of senior high school they attended. A significant difference was observed by year level, with upper-year preservice teachers tending to adopt stronger constructivist values than first-year preservice teachers. Positivist values still persist among the preservice teachers, indicating integration of the two mathematical values. These results highlight the effectiveness of teacher education programs in promoting constructivist values and promoting equitable learning experiences among the preservice teachers.
