Functionalized Layered Double Hydroxides

Abstract

The extraordinary physicochemical properties of layered double hydroxides offer great potential in a wide range of applications, and interest in this class of 2D material has grown significantly in the last decade. Applying functionalisation strategies to LDHs unlocks their heightened performance and opens up new opportunities for the design of novel materials. Readers new to the field will gain the fundamentals of functionalised LDHs in the first part of the book, which examines their sources and synthesis.
