ABSTRACT Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a widely known neurodegenerative disarray and the most common cause of dementia. It mostly causes due to deteriorating nerve tissues in brain. Study shows people with age of 65 and more; often shows signs of dementia, for which they are suffering in various ways. Different health issues, habits of diet, by genetic inheritance and due to progressing age commonly generate risks of AD in a person. Alzheimer’s disease is a problem which is not from any particular region. Patients worldwide are suffering and in search of better cure from Alzheimer’s disease. In this article, we have discussed about how inhibitors of Acetylcholinesterase (ACHE), Amyloid Beta (Aβ), Beta-secretase-1 (BACE1), Phosphodiesterase 4D (PDE4D) and N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) are helping in prevention of Dementia or AD. Beside this, some other therapies for AD have also been discussed in this review.
