Abstract

Manuscript received 24 March 1991, accepted 8 July 1991 The synthesis and optical characteristics of a series of trans-(p-aminostyryI)-pyridines and their derivatives are reported. These molecules were obtained as precursors for the synthesis of polymers with the aim of incorporating into the structure non linear optical activity.
