Sulfur–Carbon\nNano Fiber Composite Solid Electrolyte\nfor All-Solid-State Li–S Batteries

Abstract

In\nthe present study, the formation of sulfur nano sheets on the\nsurface of positively charged carbon nano fiber (CNF) from Na2S3 precursor was investigated, and a two-step mechanism\nfor this reaction was proposed for the first time. An S–CNF–solid\nelectrolyte composite was successfully prepared and employed in an\nall-solid-state Li–S cell. Full sulfur capacity was obtained\nwhen the cell was cycled at 0.1C (0.177 mA cm–2),\nand a sulfur capacity of ∼600 mA h g–1S was maintained at 1C (1.77 mA cm–2).
