39. Dillenia indica L., Sp. Pl.: 535. 1753 [cited in Nat. Hist. II(3): 60. 1774]. Notes. – A specimen is present in L (L-902.111-125) from the Ceylon herbarium, which was not available to Houttyun before 1778. There is another sheet in L of this from the Burman herbarium from “Zeylan” (L-902.111-121), annotated “Boo kerre”, presumably a Sinhalese vernacular name.
