Arquitectura de información para bibliotecas universitarias. Estudio de caso

Abstract

La Arquitectura de Información es la disciplina que contribuye al diseño web. Si está centrado en el usuario favorece que este satisfaga sus necesidades informativas. El sitio web de la Dirección de Información Científico Técnica (biblioteca universitaria), de la Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas, no satisface las necesidades de información de su comunidad usuaria. Se evidencian varios enlaces rotos y referencias a servicios que no funcionan. Se planteó como objetivo del estudio rediseñar el sitio web de la Dirección de Información Científico Técnica de la Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas. Para la obtención de resultados se emplean métodos en los niveles teórico y empírico; las técnicas aplicadas son, en su mayoría, provenientes de la arquitectura de información. Se realiza un estudio de necesidades de información a los usuarios potenciales del sitio y se rediseña el sitio web de esa dirección de información Information architecture is the discipline that contributes to Web design. There were several broken links referring to services that did not work. The objective of this study was to redesign the website of the Directorate of Scientific and Technical Information of the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas. Several methods at the theoretical and empirical level were used to obtain the desired results. The applied techniques came for the most part, from the information architecture. A study of the information needs of potential users of the site was carried out and the website of the Directorate of Scientific and Technical Information of the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas was redesigned
