Optimized Ratiometric Fluorescent Probes by Peptide\nSelf-Assembly

Abstract

We report in this study on optimized\nratiometric fluorescent probes\nby peptide self-assembly. The resulting self-assembled nanoprobes\nshow extraordinary stability in aqueous solutions and extremely low\nbackground fluorescence in buffer solutions. Our optimized probes\nwith much bigger ratiometric fluorescence ratios also show an enhanced\ncellular uptake, lower background noise, and much brighter fluorescence\nsignal in the cell experiment. Our study provides a versatile and\nvery useful strategy to design and produce fluorescent probes with\nbetter performance.
