Superhydrophobic/Superoleophilic MOF Composites for\nOil–Water Separation

Abstract

A universal strategy\nis developed to construct metal-organic framework (MOF)-based superhydrophobic/superoleophilic\nmaterials by the reaction of activated MOFs and octadecylamine. In\nparticular, <b>S-MIL-101(Cr)</b> composite can efficiently separate\nchloroform, toluene, petroleum ether, and <i>n</i>-hexane\nfrom water with excellent oil–water separation performance,\nwith potential application in the environmental field.
