Abstract Solubility is a critical factor in drug development, influencing drug absorption, bioavailability, and therapeutic efficacy. Poor aqueous solubility poses a significant challenge for the formulation of many pharmaceutical compounds, particularly for Biopharmaceutical Classification System (BCS) class II and IV drugs. This review explores various strategies to enhance the solubility of poorly water-soluble drugs, including physical, chemical, and advanced technological approaches.
