Abstract

\nInfluence of sample thickness on the parameters of martensitic transfonnations and microstructure peculii-, ities of martensite in splat quenched with rate $10^4 -10^6$ K/s alloys Ti$_{50}$Ni$_{50-x}$Cu$_x$ ($x = 5-32$ at. %) has been investigated and discussed. Film thinning results in lowering of the characteristic transformation temperatures, decrease of hysteresis, change of transition intervals. Morphological peculiarities of martensite are also changed after additional thinning. Metastable phase diagram of TiNiCu system after splat quenching and after additional thinning was constructed. Influence of thinning on crystallization parameters of amorphous samples are studied. Observed influence of tlùckness is stipulated by the stress state arising during transformation in thinned samples.\n
