Electrocatalytic\nOxygen Reduction Reaction of Peripheral\nFunctionalized Cobalt Porphyrins(2.1.2.1)

Abstract

Two\nperipheral functionalized clamp-shaped cobalt porphyrin(2.1.2.1)\ncomplexes were synthesized, and their electrocatalytic ORR abilities\nwere investigated. The crystal data and optical and redox properties\nof them were revised by peripheral modification. The ORR capacities\nand DFT calculations of <b>F</b><sub><b>5</b></sub><b>PhCo</b> and <b>F</b><sub><b>5</b></sub><b>NCo</b> suggest superior selectivity for the 4e<sup>–</sup> ORR pathway.\nThis work further confirms the clamp-shaped cobalt porphyrin complexes\nare ideal Co–N<sub>4</sub> ORR catalysts.
