Abstract

A 1/1.8” format image sensor with 1280x1024 pixel array has been made in a new technology improving the electro-optical performance. The sensitivity is 2.5 times higher and the SF noise is reduced by 2.3 e-. Images taken under artificial night sky rendering confirm the potential of the new technology.
