Cloud computing is actually changing the way businesses deploy and manage IT infrastructure, providing the facility to use and carry out operations in a cost-effective manner with flexibility and scalability. One of the most important service architectures among them is multi-tenancy, that is, sharing resources for multiple users or organizations. Of course, this sharing of environments creates huge security problems. Thus, the paper discusses the important security issues within multi-tenant cloud environments, such as data isolation and insider threats, access control, vulnerability management, and compliance issues, and discusses possible mitigation strategies as well as future directions for better security in multi-tenant architectures.
