Abstract

This repository contains the FIJI (FIJI Is Just ImageJ) macro for automated image splitting, processing, and quantitative analysis, specifically designed for optical and scanning electron microscopy images in scientific research. The upload includes two formats of the macro script (ImageJ format and plain text) to ensure accessibility and ease of use. Additionally, a detailed description and usage guide is provided in separate documents, offering instructions on how to effectively use the macro for image analysis. Comprehensive Summary of the Macro Purpose: This ImageJ macro is designed to automate the processing and quantitative analysis of Optical and SEM micrographs by splitting them into smaller segments, enhancing these segments for clearer visibility of features, and performing detailed particle analysis. Key Functions: Automated Splitting: Divides each image into a predefined number of equal-sized tiles. Image Enhancement: Applies contrast enhancement and Gaussian blur to improve feature visibility. Quantitative Particle Analysis: Analyzes each segment for particle characteristics, calculates area/volume fraction and size, and stores this data for further scientific analysis. Compatibility: The macro was developed and tested using ImageJ version 1.54f. Users are advised to use this version or later to ensure full functionality.
