The main objective of this study is to understand the connection between the SDGs and development cooperation policies of the Spanish autonomous communities, analysing the impact of the 2030 Agenda in relation to the functions of these policies, as well as the relationship between development cooperation and other public policies. The study examines in a comparative manner, through different experiences, how the SDGs are integrated into the different stages of the development policy cycle – planning, monitoring and assessment; how they affect the different instruments and modalities of development cooperation; their impact on the generation of new partnerships, and the extent to which they modify the place of development cooperation in the policy arrangements in each autonomous community for the general implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
