Abstract

In this study, the preparation and coagulation performance of the novel composite coagulant Fe3O4@C=C-CS-g-P(AM-IA-AMPS) were investigated. Fe3O4@C=C and CS-g-P(AM-IA-AMPS) was prepared with UV photon as the initiator to the reaction. The optimal synthetic conditions were ultraviolet light power of 200W, initiator concentration of 0.8 mmol/L, molar ratio of n(AM+IA+AMPS)∶n(CS) of 1.6, and pH value of 4.0. The maximum Fe3+ and Cu2+ removal efficiency could reach 90.7%, 85.5%, respectively.
