Perovskite Hydroxide CoSn(OH)6 Nanocubes\nfor Efficient Photoreduction of CO2 to CO

Abstract

Perovskite\nhydroxide CoSn(OH)6 nanoparticles were synthesized\nand used for the first time in the photocatalytic reduction of CO2 to CO. Under mild reaction conditions and using [Ru(bpy)3](PF6)2 as the photosensitizer, a high\nphotocatalytic efficiency of 19.3 μmol for CO evolution with\na high selectivity of 86.46% was obtained. The photocatalytic activity\nand CO selectivity were further improved by adding weak Brönsted\nacids, as proton sources, to the system.
