Chelatometric titration of iron(III) with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and Xylenol Orange

Abstract

キシレノールオレンジ(XO)を用いる鉄(III)のエチレンジアミン四酢酸(EDTA)直接滴定法は従来,当量点で変色を起こさないブロッキング現象を示すため不可能と思われていた.しかし,実際には50℃以上では特別の操作を必要とせず,PR1.2~2.3で鉄(III)の定量が可能であること,更に鉄(III)の加水分解防止のために酢酸を加えればpH1.2~5.3と広いpH領域で可能なことを明らかにした.
