The study focuses on the sustainable cultivation of Litopenaeus vannamei shrimp in Navsari district, Gujarat, India, utilising innovative feed additives from Intron Life Sciences that primarily include probiotics, for gut & pond management, Tribiotic, Phytobiotics, Minerals and growth promoters. A comprehensive pond preparation and management approach over a 161-day culture period in 16 ponds resulted in a utilisation and survival rate of 78.85%, with individual pond survival rates ranging from 65.95% to 88.29%. Vibrio colony counts are within standard limits, with green colonies below 50 and yellow-coloured colonies below 500 throughout the culture period. A feed conversion ratio of 1.59 indicates a better feed utilisation. The results demonstrate the benefits of eco-friendly, organic feed additives for a healthier shrimp with sustainable aquaculture practices.
