Education in the state of São Paulo has undergone significant structural changes, particularly regarding teachers' autonomy in lesson preparation. The Secretary of Education has developed Digital Materials to standardize concepts and activities in the classroom, while also serving as a control tool. Furthermore, in 2024, Financial Education became a mandatory component for 8th and 9th-grade students in elementary education, accompanied by specific instructional materials. In this context, this article seeks to analyze the type of Financial Education proposed in those Digital Materials, commonly referred to as slides, focusing on the objectives, content, and exercises from the first semester of 2024. The analyzed material comprises 28 lessons, 14 for each grade level. The qualitative analysis is grounded in the School Financial Education Axes framework for data categorization. The findings revealed an emphasis on the individualization of finances, addressing investment, entrepreneurship, and individual and family budgeting, without critically examining the neoliberal system.
