The results of this research show that the principal's leadership strategy in increasing the strengthening of students' disciplinary character at SMPN 17 Mataram is carried out through a democratic leadership model which is supported by various school programs such as the 3S program (Smile, Greetings, Greetings), Al-Qur'an Literacy and Fiction Literacy, and GSS (Healthy School Movement). This leadership model and school program is able to increase the strengthening of students' disciplinary character at SMPN 17 Mataram, this can be seen in the BK teacher recap data in April-June 2024 which states that in the last three months there has been an increase in students' disciplinary character, namely from 104 students who are often late have decreased to 81 students in the last three months. Then the supporting factors for the school principal in increasing the strengthening of students' disciplinary character at SMPN 17 Mataram are facilities and infrastructure, enthusiasm of the school community, parental support, and clear policies and rules. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors for school principals in increasing the strengthening of students' disciplinary character are lack of student awareness, the influence of community culture and lack of awareness of the school community.
