Abstract

The field of biomedical engineering (BME) combines engineering principles with key science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to affect scientific inquiries in biology, medicine, and health systems and applied technology to enhance public health for diagnosis and therapeutics. The health education for the emerging topics involves transforming every lesson into an artificial intelligence interactive virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) experimental gamification. The primary goal of this study is to improve occupational efficiency in biomedical engineering education through the use of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPCK) framework to better prepare students for the demands of real-world medical professional practice. In the chapter, the authors developed an adaptive federated cloud computing learning system that examined how AR and VR technologies are used in biomedical engineering education to promote occupational efficiency in healthcare sector.
