Abstract: Chronotherapeutics, the study of disease prevention and treatment aligned with biological cycles, focuses on optimizing therapeutic outcomes by timing interventions such as medications, surgery, and physical therapies to coincide with the body's natural rhythms. This approach aims to enhance efficacy, reduce toxicity, and minimize side effects by tailoring treatments to biological patterns. Traditional drug delivery systems often fail to maintain optimal plasma drug concentrations, limiting therapeutic effectiveness. Chronopharmacological research has demonstrated that the timing of drug administration can significantly influence treatment outcomes, inspiring the development of advanced chronopharmaceutical technologies. These innovative systems are designed to release drugs at specific times, addressing conditions like hypertension, asthma, and arthritis, where symptoms follow circadian patterns. By synchronizing drug delivery with disease progression or metabolic activity, chronotherapeutics represents a groundbreaking shift toward personalized medicine. This evolving field highlights the critical role of biological cycles in healthcare, offering a promising strategy for achieving precision and improving the overall effectiveness of treatment regimens.
