PENGARUH PENGANGGURAN DAN KETIMPANGAN PENDAPATAN TERHADAP KEMISKINAN SUMATERA UTARA MELALUI PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of unemployment and income inequality on poverty by considering the role of economic growth in North Sumatra over the period 2018-2023. The data shows that high unemployment rates contribute to increased poverty, while income inequality worsens socioeconomic conditions. North Sumatra's economic growth, although increasing post-pandemic, is still influenced by certain sectors such as agriculture and trade. The findings suggest the need for more inclusive policies to reduce inequality and expand employment to alleviate poverty. Kata kunci : Unemployment, Income Inequality, Poverty, Economic Growth
