The Curriculum for Ukrainian as a Second Foreign Language in Grades VII-VIII of Polish Primary Schools is designed for students who are beginning to learn the language ab initio. It aligns with the Polish core curriculum and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The aim is to reach A1 level while fostering plurilingual, intercultural, and mediation competences. The program is based on a spiral structure, integrates all language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing, interaction, and mediation), and is adapted to students’ educational and social needs. It includes detailed learning objectives, thematic content, language activities, a suggested teaching schedule, and assessment guidelines. It can be applied in both linguistically diverse classrooms and schools introducing Ukrainian as a new subject.
