PERAN SENTRAL MUSHOLLA DALAM INTERNALISASI NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Musholla Langgar Menara Hijau in the formation of Islamic character in Wonorejo District, Pasuruan, through religious activities. In the context of Muslim society, character education is an important aspect that encompasses not only intellectual intelligence but also morality and empathy. Amidst the challenges of globalization, musholla, as a non-formal institution, has significant potential in supporting character education and addressing threats to Islamic values. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observations and interviews with the administrators and members of the congregation. The findings indicate that activities such as congregational prayers and regular lectures play a significant role in the development of the congregation's character, fostering discipline and conveying relevant moral values such as honesty and patience. Additionally, the recitation of the Qur'an helps the congregation internalize religious teachings, shaping individuals with noble character. The involvement of youth in musholla activities not only strengthens their religious identity but also develops leadership skills. The musholla serves as a non-formal educational space that supports character development through social programs, such as community service that fosters empathy and solidarity. The participation of women in these activities also reflects positive changes in social dynamics, promoting gender equality in Islamic education. This study emphasizes the importance of supporting musholla activities as an effective non-formal educational institution in shaping Islamic character and social values. With structured programs, musholla can enhance its positive impact in the future. The results demonstrate that Langgar Menara Hijau plays a crucial role in developing Islamic character among the congregation, particularly the youth, who are not only educated spiritually but also encouraged to make positive contributions to society.
