University Social Responsibility (USR) is a process of change that universities carry out in their mission, administration and educational model. In this sense, the present theoretical analysis aimed to carry out a review of the literature to identify in what way, the integral formation of university students can favor so- ciety. Based on the above, it is concluded that this type of policy generates a positive change in the men- tality of the agents of change -students-, promoting changes in their actions within society, companies and government, considering social justice in their decisions. For this reason, there is a need to establish con- trol measures to help their implementation and monitoring. USR is not mandatory, but its establishment and accountability is a social commitment.
