Validación de un instrumento para evaluar conocimientos y aplicación del modelo de inclusión educativa en docentes universitarios del área de salud

Abstract

Introduction. Educational inclusion, according to UNESCO, is the process of identifying and responding to the diversity of needs of all students, promoting their participation in learning and reducing exclusion. Objective: To validate the instrument "Survey Format and Examination of Knowledge and Application of the Educational Inclusion Model by University Professors of the Health Area". Methods: quantitative study, non-experimental design, validation with of a group of expert in the area of ​​special and inclusive education with a master's or doctorate degree and with at least 3 years of teaching experience. For the development of the data collection instrument, some questionnaire items were formulated taking into account the essential elements of educational inclusion such as philosophy, legislation and other factors that influence their application. For the instrument piloting and subsequent statistical analysis, 31 professors from the health area participated, who taught classes at a university level. Results: Regarding the instrument, it was obtained that all the items have an approving concordance index, with the highest score being 0.95 and the lowest being 0.79. For some items a second writing was carried out. With the data from the application of the instrument, a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.92 was obtained. Conclusions: The application of validated instrument allows us to reliably measure the level of knowledge and application of the educational inclusion model.
