Aerogels, renowned for their low density and high porosity, have garnered significant attention in the realm of acoustic and thermal insulation due to their exceptional properties. In acoustic insulation, aerogels serve as effective sound absorbers, mitigating noise transmission by dissipating sound energy through their intricate nanoporous structure. Moreover, aerogels exhibit promising potential in thermal insulation applications. With their low thermal conductivity, aerogels impede heat transfer, thereby enhancing the energy efficiency of buildings and industrial processes. This study underscores the multifaceted utility of aerogels in advancing acoustic and thermal insulation technologies, offering sustainable solutions for noise control and thermal management in diverse applications.
