Indonesia's diverse population makes it susceptible to conflicts arising from intolerance. This issue is also reflected in smaller communities, such as the Kotagajah neighborhood, particularly at SD Negeri 7 Kotagajah in Central Lampung. This study aims to explore how Islamic education teachers at the school implement and promote principles of tolerance, as well as to assess the impact of their efforts on students’ daily interactions. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the research seeks to obtain accurate, systematic, and factual information regarding the subject. The study involves the school principal, the Islamic education teacher, and the students as its main subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the Islamic education teacher plays a crucial role in fostering tolerance and social interaction among students. Despite occasional conflicts that arise from intolerance, overall student interactions demonstrate cooperation and mutual respect across differences. The teacher’s approach serves as a valuable model for other schools in creating a safe, inclusive, and healthy learning environment.
