Pengaruh Frekuensi Hambatan Samping Terhadap Kecepatan Kendaraan Pada Jalan Achmad Al Wahab Telaga di Kabupaten Gorontalo

Abstract

ABSTRAK Hambatan samping yang terjadi di sepanjang koridor jalan dapat mengurangi kapasitas jalan yang mengakibatkan pengemudi kendaraan mengurangi kecepatan atau bahkan berhenti sesekali sehingga menimbulkan kemacetan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kondisi lalu lintas, besarnya pengaruh frekuensi hambatan samping terhadap kecepatan kendaraan, dan ide pengembangan transportasi penunjang ruas jalan. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data diperoleh melalui pengamatan langsung di jalan Achmad Al Wahab Telaga. Data volume lalu lintas diperoleh dari Satuan Kerja Perencanaan dan Pengawasan Jalan Nasional Gorontalo. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan manual kapasitas jalan Indonesia (MKJI) 1997 sebagai acuan untuk menghitung frekuensi hambatan samping dan kecepatan kendaraan serta penggunaan program SPSS melalui analisis uji korelasi dan regresi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa frekuensi hambatan samping berpengaruh sedang sebesar 49,4% dan memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap kecepatan kendaraan. Hal ini berarti berkurangnya kecepatan kendaraan di jalan Achmad Al Wahab Telaga tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh hambatan samping, tetapi adanya faktor lain diluar hambatan samping seperti adanya kendaraan yang sengaja melambat melewati ruas jalan tersebut. Ide pengembangan prasarana transportasi penunjang ruas jalan, yakni dengan pengaturan parkir, pembangunan pendestrian untuk pejalan kaki, penertiban terminal bayangan, dan pengaturan atau larangan kendaraan lambat yang melintasi ruas tersebut. ABSTRACT Side barriers that occur along the road corridor can reduce the capacity of the road resulting in vehicle drivers to reduce speed or even stop occasionally, causing congestion. This study aims to: (1) describe the condition of traffic. (2) analyse the effect of side barrier frequency on vehicle speed, and (3) propose the idea of development of read supporting transportation. The research was conducted as a descriptive qualitative and quantitative study by using data obtained from direct observations on Achmad Al Wahab Street at Telaga and data of traffic volume form Gorontalo National Road Planning and Control Unit. In analyzing the data, the researcher used the Indonesia Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) of 1997 as a reference to calculate the frequency of side barries and wehicle speed, and SPSS program (correlation analysis and regression test). The result of the analysis shows that the frequency of side barrier has a medium effect equal to 49.4% and it is related significantly to vehicle speed. This means that the reduced speed of vehicles on Achmad Al Wahab Street at Telaga is not only influenced by side harriers, but also by other factors such as the existence of vehicles that deliberately move slowly along the road. The idea of the development of road-supporting transportation infrastucture consists of parking arrangement, construction of pedestrian route, control of shadow terminals, and regulation or prohibition of slow vehicles along the section.
