Performance metrics of triboelectric nanogenerator toward record-high output energy density

Abstract

This work develops universal standardized performance metrics to quantitatively evaluate TENG's maximized output capability approaching the breakdown limit, creating record-high charge density (2.8 mC m −2 ) and output energy density (6.2 × 10 5 J m −3 ).
