Abstract

Linker engineering by tuning the non-nitrogen heteroatom and conjugation core enables optimization of the electronic structure of the electron acceptor in D–A COFs and thereby yields a photocatalyst with an H 2 generation rate of ca. 35 mmol g −1 h −1 .
