Abstract

BaV 2 O 6 ·H 2 O was studied up to 10 GPa using single-crystal XRD, optical absorption, and DFT calculations. We found zero-linear compressibility behavior on the b -axis. The pressure range of stability of hydrated BaV 2 O 6 is double that of anhydrous BaV 2 O 6 .
