The proposed system is designed with a student-centered approach, adhering to the principles of expert guidance, support for effective collaboration, an emphasis on comprehensive task design, diversified evaluation methods and information efficiency. Teachers utilize the platform to guide, assist and supervise student learning through the network. By integrating Internet-based dynamic web technologies, the system is constructed on a B/S three-layer logical structure, which includes a user browser, functional modules and data-service layers. The learning process on the platform encompasses preparation, task execution and assessment phases. This English-focused e-learning application system effectively extends traditional classroom practices by creating an online learning environment tailored to the needs of college students. It addresses the limitations of independent learning modes, such as the lack of purpose and systematicity, while enhancing students’ English application skills. With the rapid advancement of information technology, this college English online autonomous learning platform has become an increasingly popular and effective tool in college English education.
