Abstract This paper focuses on the design of filtering for two‐dimensional (2‐D) continuous‐discrete Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy systems. The frequency of disturbance input is assumed to be known and to reside in a finite frequency (FF) domain. The objective is to provide a new design sufficient condition via linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) formulation, ensuring both the stability of the filtering error system and performance level in specific FF domain. Finally, an illustrative example is provided to demonstrate the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed method.
