AbstractThis article discusses the function of Qasam in the Koran (study of QS. al-D{uh{a). This research is a type of library research, where the data collection method uses searching and reviewing library materials, especially the Al-Qur'an and tafsir books as primary data, and other literature. The results of this research explain that oaths in the Koran are used to eliminate doubts, cancel doubts, uphold arguments, emphasize news, and pledge the law. An oath in the connotation of the language of the Koran is called qasam. In QS. al-D{uh{a Allah swears by two times, namely by duha time (when the sun rises a fraction) and by night when it is quiet. In QS. al-D{uh{a Allah swore to eliminate the doubts of the Prophet Muhammad saw., to cancel the doubts of the unbelievers that Muhammad saw. God has abandoned him.
