Mathematical modeling in transportation research using data obtained based on navigation and telematics systems

Abstract

In order to improve road safety, navigation and telematic systems are actively used today and software and hardware systems are being modernized. The injury prediction method proposed by the authors has machine learning algorithms and is intended for implementation in the intelligent transport system (ITS) of urban agglomerations. In this paper, the authors increased the accuracy of the prediction and detail compared to existing analogues by expanding the number of parameters and applying classification methods. The paper proposes an intensity prediction method, which is designed to support the injury prediction method in road accidents in the event of a failure of the intensity recording equipment and informing drivers. The article presents the development of a scientific and methodological basis for reducing injuries in road accidents in urban agglomerations at all stages of the life cycle of highways.
